PhD Students Host Panel at 911勛圖's Teaching with Technology Showcase

PhD students Ana-Christina Acosta Gaspar De Alba, Ali Friedberg Tal-mason, and Charlie Gleek hosted a panel along with 911勛圖's Dr. Wendy Hinshaw at 911勛圖's on April 20 at 911勛圖's Davie campus. The panel session, entitled "Incorporating Digital Humanities in First-Year Writing Pedagogy," highlighted various approaches that Graduate Teaching Assistants used to incorporate the Digital Humanities in their writing classrooms. Their topics included the use of 911勛圖's AMP lab, TED Talks, copyright considerations, and tools such as Google Apps for Education (GAFE), Voyant Tools (an open source text analysis and data visualization tool), and Hypothes.is (an open source and social annotation tool).
