BOCA RATON, Fla. (November 20, 2017) – 911³Ô¹Ï’s Department of Music in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters will present an “Ellington Nutcracker†with the Florida Wind Symphony Jazz Orchestra on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the University Theatre on the 911³Ô¹Ï Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road. A holiday concert tradition, the orchestra will perform the complete “Nutcracker Suite†as arranged for jazz ensemble by the incomparable Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, along with other holiday favorites.
