by Zade Gray | Saturday, Oct 01, 2022
911³Ô¹Ï has officially opened a new Transfer Admissions and Link Office. This office is located on the first floor, room 103 of the university College Library on the Davie campus. An 911³Ô¹Ï Link Advisor will be available in the office space, Monday - Thursday, from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. They will provide students with information about 911³Ô¹Ï's academic programs, support them through their transfer process, and increase awareness about the Link to 911³Ô¹Ï Program, our enhanced 2+2 pathway, in partnership with Broward College. 911³Ô¹Ï shares the Davie campus and the University College Library with Broward college, which is Broward College's Central and largest campus. This shared access provides numerous advantages for Broward college students who join 911³Ô¹Ï's Link Transfer Success Program while still a student at Broward College. During their time as a student at Broward College, they will have access to 911³Ô¹Ï Link Advisors; guaranteed priority admission to 911³Ô¹Ï; exclusive access to apply for a Link Scholarship; Invitations to 911³Ô¹Ï student events, and access to other amenities and resources such as the 911³Ô¹Ï Recreation Centre and Career Center. These benefits make the transfer process to 911³Ô¹Ï easier once they complete their associate degree.
"Florida Atlantic wants to make the transfer experience easy. We are committed to meeting Broward College students where they are—on their campus—and provide them with advising and access to 911³Ô¹Ï services early in their academic career" (Linda Johnson, Associate Vice President 911³Ô¹Ï Broward Campuses). 911³Ô¹Ï wants our transfer students to feel comfortable and confident with their transition most conveniently and efficiently possible. Implementing this new transfer and link office is 911³Ô¹Ï’s way of acknowledging the process and showing appreciation for students' time and efforts. "Our new Transfer Admissions space in the BC/911³Ô¹Ï Library provides a convenient location for Broward College students to meet with us and learn about our academic programs, the Link program, and our admission requirements. This highly visible space also helps the students see 911³Ô¹Ï's terrific partnership with BC. They see that transitioning to 911³Ô¹Ï couldn't be easier" (Jeff Headly, 911³Ô¹Ï Transfer Admissions Counselor).
