Applications are now open for students interested in 911³Ô¹Ï’s new Undergraduate Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (U-RISE) program funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This program aims to promote diversity in biomedical science by engaging students in a customized research-intensive undergraduate experience.

U-RISE will be held on 911³Ô¹Ï’s Jupiter Campus in coordination with the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College. However, students from all campuses and majors related to biomedical research are encouraged to apply.

U-RISE is seeking students who will be starting their second year at 911³Ô¹Ï in the fall or classify as sophomores based on credit hours. Students accepted into this program will be admitted into research-intensive U-RISE courses and workshops, and receive funding that covers tuition, travel, and lab supplies.

Students will receive an annual stipend of $11 thousand.
